The Dachstein south face or Dachstein Glacier cable car, opens the Styrian Ramsau am Dachstein from the southern part of the Dachstein massif, where the summit station is located on the municipal boundary to Obertraun.
The two-lane aerial tramway, each with a supporting cable per track leads without support and with a ground clearance of up to 210 m on the Dachstein south face to the mountain station Hunerkogel, which lies exactly on the border of Styria and Upper Austria. The cable car is in the summer and winter seasons, and is the draw for lying on the Upper Austrian side of the Dachstein Glacier, and results in the core zone of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Hallstatt-Dachstein / Salzkammergut.
